My name is Paul Berg, as of Sept. 2009 I began attending Ross University - Medical School. Prior to that I went to Arizona State University for my bachelors. Its been pretty wild figuring out the whole pre-med, med school, and soon to be clinical and residency game.
If you haven't already noticed everyone has their own theory or hot info on how to get to and through medical school, clinical rotations, and residency, etc. It was real hard for me to sift through all the here-say and find the info that was quality because I didn't know a lot of people that had already been through the whole game. As I went through I have found certain things were really spectacular and other ideas were totally a waste of my time trying them.
So I decided to make this blog so it could be a one stop shop for pretty quality info on the whole process from undergraduate school to a practicing MD. The desire is for this blog to show what MOST students and physicians go through, there will always be outliers who have super spectacular or super bogus experiences.
So I encourage everyone who reads this to leave comments of your experiences and things that have helped you personally. If you are comfortable please leave in the comment your school, where you are at in the path, and then whatever comment (ex Oklahoma State - Medical School, 3rd year ... something that helped me was....)
Hopefully you'll get a good range of opinions and ideas of how some people who have made it and those who are trying to make it decided to do the "fancy dance" of the MD path.
